  1. 1) I think that the internet is becoming an even larger part of the classroom. Already it is huge part of the classroom with children using it to research information for projects and playing educational games online. I think that it will continue to be a large part of education. Teachers can use it to do virtual tours of places that are being learned about, skype with a "sister" classroom or do interviews, etc. I also think that as new technology arises there will be many ways that they become a part of education and integrated into teaching methods in the classroom.

2)There are already school districts that have ipods available for students with reading disabilities to listen to their books that they are assigned to read. I forsee electronic books coming into schools because it is cheaper to buy and upload a book onto a nook than buying the physical book. It may even be easier for some students to read what they need to from an electronic book versus a regular book. Although it does raise some issues such as cost of the device, accountability, and the care involved with students transporting them to and from school, I still forsee them being used.

  2. I believe that multiple uses of technology are and will continue to be a major part of education for students at all grade levels. For example, as young as kindergarten teachers can use online books for the students to listen to and watch on-line. The internet is another form of technology that millions of students use each and every day. As a teacher, the internet is a great resource to make lesson plans and to find excellent books! Our college uses a text-messaging system to let students know about the school closing or classes being cancelled. Technology is all around us and it will continue to grow each and every year.

In my future classroom, I will use the computer lab as a resource. In my practicum class, she brings the students to the computer lab for the students to work on writing their own stories. It allows all the students to participate and be creative in their own way. I will also use the internet as an excellent resource for making lesson plans and discovering different types of books.

  3. 1) The internet is a great part of children's life today. Teachers have students using the internet for class projects or even homework sometimes. Classrooms even now have smart boards permanently in their classroom. The internet is filled with resources for teachers and students. It has tons of online games and activities that promote learning and can actually help the child learn. In the classroom I observe they all go on the computer and play this math game to help them with division. In the near future I feel that everything will be done on the computer, even writing, because I see it first hand happening now.

    2) I can definitely see electronic books being used in schools in the near future. I feel that there can be an issue with this because kids are kids and they will break things, so these electronic books could be used at the older grades and still have regular books for the little ones. Kids now a days are born with an iphone attached to their hand, they live with all this technology around them and that's all they'll know. This transition to new technology is a must but needs to build gradually because the teachers must also know how to use the certain technology in order to teach their students.

  5. .Technology that I think is coming to education is smartboard technology and the Internet. The internet is such a valuable resource and holds hundreds of options for kids to find resources for any subject area they may be taking in school. Students are now using the internet for homework, recreation, even to look up definitions of words they do not know. The multitude of resources such as puzzles, games, quizzes, and children's online groups that can related to any subject they need an extra resource in.

    2. I had a teacher in high school that got grants for her students to get ipods for networking, technology, and book purposes. Communication is changing rapidly with new technologies and I can see more and more teachers including different forms of communication tools in their classrooms. Having students explore different internet resources and finding technological ways to express what they learned I think will become a large part of curriculum. I could see books becoming electronic instead of paper, and I believe that future classrooms will use many forms of technology.
