1. I think that it is good for children to connect with other students in different schools. They are also "gaining access to software and skills that push the envelope of what teachers think they are capable of."
ReplyDelete2.I have mixed feelings about it! I think that it is good to encourage them and help them feel that they can do what the boys can. I also feel that if there is one for the girls there should be a boys only one as well.
3. I think that this would benefit students in my community because it would expose them to multiculture and allow them to gain knowledge about how other communities work.
1. I believe that the DYN is a wonderful program for the students to participate in. It gives them an opportunity to express themselves in a different way that is unique. DYN allows children to work together.
ReplyDelete2. I don't think having just a girls program is a good idea because it leaves out the boys in the school. I believe that if they have a girls program then they should have a separate boys on, as well.
3. I think the students in my community would benefit from a program such as this one. The students would enjoy participating in this sort of program and it will enhance their ability with technology
1. I think that the DYN is a great program and that more schools should integrate this kind of program into their school day. I think it not only provides students with a way to become prepared for technologies they may use in further education or a job; however, it also gives them a creative outlet.
ReplyDelete2. The girls program is a great idea I think to encourage equality, and in order to further build self-esteem. I like that they examine media issues and how females are expected to look and teach girls how to better represent themselves. However, I think it would be a better balance to have a boys network as well.
3. Yes, I believe that students in my community would benefit from this type of program because their competancy of technology tools would be greatly supported as well as fostering a greater sense of creative.
