1. I believe that including games as a supplemental educational tool is an excellent way for children to benefit in their down time. For example, if a student has some free time, they can use these games to practice math. These games can be used as a resource for children to practice and become better at different subjects.
ReplyDelete2. I tried a few different games on the website http://sheppardsoftware.com/math.htm. There are many different subjects on this website and a different age ranges. I played balloon pop, addition and I thought that it was an excellent way for young children to review their addition facts.
3. My teacher uses spare time in the classroom for the students to reinforce what they have learned by using games. Every day, during writing time, the students are in the writing lab, creating and writing their own stories. After finishing their story, students are allowed to create a new story, practice typing on tutor time, or practice division with a game on a math program.
1. I believe that including games as a supplemental educational tool is a great way for children to benefit in spare time or on their. For example, I can remember playing the Oregon trail during computer lab time in school, which helped me learn the journey of those who traveled along the Oregon trail.

There were many different games on the website, which allows the child to choose whichever game they want to play. I also liked the fact that there was a tutorial on each subject. I think that this is great and allows for students to get help if they feel they need clarification.
3. I think that in my future classroom, I would allow for students to use educational games to review material or sharpen their skills. I feel that this is a great way for students to continue learning something in a fun way that they are willing to engage in
1. I believe that including games as a supplement not only helps teachers include multiple learning practices; however, it allows learning to be fun. Especially with the growing amount of technology children experience it would be good to add some educational experiences into their day.
ReplyDelete2. I tried some of the games, and even looked into other websites. There is a wealth of different resources to use for any subject, and different options to provide students with choices.
3. In my future classroom I would allow children to use the games as review, or a way to better a certain skill. It is a great way to expand learning opportunities.
